What is a Radical?

Radical: (from Late Latin radicalis: "of roots") of or going to the root or origin; fundamental.

We are not radicals in the sense of political extremists, we are radicals who seek to analyze and expose the roots of exploitative power relationships that have underpinned human society, while maintaining themselves on violence and coercion, throughout history. As activists, we do not focus on one specific social issue, but recognize a totality of overlapping and reinforcing systems of oppression. We are holding this conference because we want to educate other workers, but also ourselves, about the proud and colourful history of people organizing against social domination.
